My Response
From the fullness of His grace we have all received one
blessing after another (John 1:16).
Because of that, and all that He has done
for me, I will offer my body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-
this is my spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1 & 2).
For I am God’s
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in
advance for me to do (Ephesians 2:10).
There is SO much more to be said of my Savior; but
basically, though I’m sinful and flawed, still I am loved and welcomed in
Christ. My response to this is worship!
Since my goal for this blog is that it would be filled with
Christ, I thought it would be appropriate to share with you what I believe:
It started in the beginning, when God created the heavens
and the earth all in seven days and very good (Genesis 1:1). Then on the sixth
day, God said, “Let us make man in our image…” So God created man in His own
image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them
(Genesis 1:26 & 27). Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing
was made that has been made (John 1:3).
Then Adam and Eve sinned by eating the forbidden fruit-
therefore, just as sin entered the world by one man, and death through sin, so
death came to all men, because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God (Romans 5:12 & 3:23)...
… And are justified freely by His grace through the
redemption that came by Christ Jesus (Romans
3:24). That’s the good news! God demonstrates His own love for us in
this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Because of
His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it
is by grace you have been saved (Ephesians 2:4 & 5). For He chose us in Him
before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.
In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Christ Jesus, in
accordance with His pleasure and will (Ephesians 1:4 & 5). Therefore, since
we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in
which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1
& 2).
